Pro Exposure Performers for 2-3-12

It proved a close finish at the top for last night's best scorer in the Association. Amare Stodemire won out scoring 34 for New York in their loss to Chicago. He was 16 of 27 from the floor while grabbing 11 rebounds .. . . . . Monta Ellis was scorching hot hitting 13 of 21 from the floor (3-7 from three) while leading Golden State to a 119-101 win over Utah with 33 points. . . . .. Derric Rose was the reason Chicago beat New York with his amazing 32 points and 13 assists. Not a bad night for a third place finish.

Golden State's David Lee and Portland's LeMarcus Aldridge each gathered in 14 rebounds to tie for last night's Chairman of the Boards title. Aldridge's feat came in Portland's loss to Sacramento. He also contributed with a 12-19 shooting night, finishing with 28 points. Lee had 23 points but was 9-23 from the floor.

Derrick Rose's afore mentioned 13 assists against New York ties him for last night assist lead with Utah's Jamaal Tinsley

Portland's Marcus Camby blocked 5 shots last night as did the Clippers DeAndre Jordan. Both performances came in losses. As mentioned, the Trailblazers falling to Sacramento and the Clippers were trounced by Denver. . . . .

Pro Exposure Performers for 2-3-12

Iona's Lamont "Momo" Jones led the nation in scoring last night pouring in 43 points as they pummeled Canisius. He hit 7 of 12 from three, grabbed 4 rebounds, had 3 steals, and handed out 2 assists . . . . . A very close second was the nations leading scorer on the season, Weber State's Damian Lillard. He connected on 13-18 from the floor, including 6-8 from three, while handing out 5 assists.

Old Dominion's Chris Cooper is averaging a double double on the season (10.5 rpg - 11.2 apg) but last night his double was a notch higher grabbing 22 rebounds and scoring 20 points. He was the nations leading rebounder for Thursday.

Someone had to feed the ball to "Momo" Jones (the nations best transfer) and it was Iona's Scott Machado. He was credited with 14 assists last night in their win over Canisius. In addition to his 14 rebounds he scored 14 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He is currently averagin 10.05 assists per game.

Youngstown State's Damian Eargle had 7 blocked shots last night in their loss to UIC to lead the nation

Manhattan's Michael Alvarado was the nations leading thief with 8 steals in their win over Marist. In addition to the 8 steals he recorded 8 points and 3 assists.

The Melbourne Tigers ended a six-game losing streak and recorded their first win of 2012, beating a struggling Adelaide 36ers 87-81 with Cam Tragardh scoring 20 points............ Andrei Kirilenko is this weeks Euroleague MVP. He came off the bench for 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting and added 9 rebounds for CSKA in Russia. ............ Darnell Hinson led Slupsk scoring with 18 points in their 83-70 win over PGE Turow Zgorzelec last night............
