Texas State announced the extension of head basketball coach Danny Kaspar through the 2022-2023 season.

UCLA has hired Darren Savino as associate head coach.

Vanderbilt hired David Grace as an assistant coach.

California announced veteran coaches Andrew Francis, Chris Harriman and Trent Johnson, and retained Marty Wilson.

Wofford College announced Will Murphy remains on staff, while Paul Hemrick and Dwight Perry join the Terriers.

Appalachian State announced Patrick Moynihan, Bob Szorc and Frank Young have been tabbed as assistant coaches, while Bradley Fey has been named director of basketball operations.

Tulsa added Kwanza Johnson as an assistant coach.

Transaction History: On this date in 1979 the New Orleans Jazz fired Elgin Baylor as Head Coach.


COLLEGE
Nevada announced the hiring of Steve Alford as head coach.

Tulane announced Ray McCallum has been named associate head coach and Claude Pardue will serve as assistant coach. 
Kevin Johnson has also been tabbed as anassistant coach.
Nate Summers will take over as director of basketball operations, and Sean Mock will be the team’s recruiting coordinator and director of player development.

Nebraska announced assistant coaches Matt Abdelmassih and Doc Sadler, while Armon Gates will stay on the coaching staff after joining the Husker program prior to last season. 
Nebraska  also announced that longtime college basketball coach Bobby Lutz will join the program and serve as special assistant to the head coach.


GERMANY
EWE Baskets Oldenburg resigned Karsten Tadda. 


GREECE
Peristeri mutually parted ways with Ryan Harrow and signed Scoochie Smith. 

AEK Athens signed Gabe York.


NBA
The Cleveland Cavaliers and Head Coach Larry Drew announced they have mutually agreed that Drew will not return as the team’s head coach next season.

The Memphis Grizzlies fired coach J.B. Bickerstaff and demoted general manager Chris Wallace to scout. 

The Phoenix Suns announced they have named James Jones as general manager and retained Trevor Bukstein as assistant general manager.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Luke Walton have mutually agreed to part ways, it was announced by Lakers General Manager Rob Pelinka.

Karesi Spor signed Daniel Orton.

Belmont announced the hiring of Casey Alexander as the 10th head men’s basketball coach in program history.

Alabama retained Antoine Pettway from the previous staff and welcomes Charlie Henry and Bryan Hodgson as assistant coaches.

Siena announced Harley Fuller, Bob Simon, and Antoni Wyche have been appointed assistant coaches, 
while Matt Miner has been named special assistant to the head coach.

Southern Miss head men’s basketball coach, Doc Sadler, has resigned.
 

ITALY
Sidigas Avellino fired Head Coach Nenad Vucinic and promoted Massimo Maffezzoli for the remainder of the season.

VL Pesaro signed Dezmine Wells.


NBA
The Miami HEAT announced that they have signed guard Kendrick Nunn.

The Phoenix Suns have hired Jeff Bower as Senior VP of Basketball Operations.

The Sacramento Kings announced that Dave Joerger has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the team.
